Humidifiers help rehydrate the air to keep your locks looking lustrous; helping to keep the moisture in.

HAIR WASHING AND DRYING

Avoid washing your hair frequently and, preferably, when washing start first with warm water and rinse very well with cool water in order to avoid any freeze or breakage after showering. Also, avoid as much as possible going outside with wet hair; try washing it overnight so that it naturally dries.

STYLING

Windy weather usually leads to tangled hair, which leads to a more difficult brushing; make sure you avoid extra breakage by brushing your hair from ends to root. Make sure to reduce as much as possible heat machines which also lead to breakages. Instead of using heat machines, try to free dry as much as possible in order to maintain your hair shiny and healthy. If you usually straighten your hair or curl it, try exploring other techniques such as twisting, braiding or buns; get yourself creative with your style! TRIMMING

WEAR A HAT

If you don’t have enough time to style your hair, putting a hat on to protect it from the weather is a great option. However, don’t forget that wool, cotton and similar fabrics can cause breakages! Make sure to line your hat with silk or satin to help prevent damage and statics in the hair!

OIL TREATMENT

If your hair is dry you can always restore it with oil treatments. Put on a lightweight leave-in product to instantly revitalize dry, damaged hair. Nourishing hair oil at the ends will help replenish moisture and protect your hair. Apply an overnight Serum is also a very useful option.

CONDITIONING

The use of conditioner turns crucial when it comes to cold weather. If possible, try to make a deep conditioning routine once a week and a mask application, as well; for thin and colored hair this is a must, and for colored ones is very important the use of glossing products to keep it sealed and protected from static.
